Dark river
On maddening beach
Souls of the dead wait for ferryman
They cannot swim, pebble
Pricks
Glowing heat
Souls anticipate shifting shapes
Scissors and rips
Of dark sky and even darker
Water, transparent
And ground is ash gray
Which is sign of fire
There are no buildings
All is nature
Souls are unrecognizable
And are not betrayed by memories
Which they possess not
Sounds, images, scent
Touches-cat's eye marbles
And slow, quieted, murky
Landscape
Sublimates
Reluctant and empty
Souls
Plankton
Mythical beasts are simple
Imagination of painter
As well as wave's crests
Distant wildfires and
Naked tree-trunks
Imagination of painter
As well as wave's crests
Distant wildfires and
Naked tree-trunks
Souls are invisible, imaginary
Just like Leviathan and
Sea set on fire
Trees cut down
Dead armor on the
Battlefield
Ferry will not land
Into invisible harbor
Load souls invisible
And ferry them to the other side
Of the Original-water
Indifferent
Feeds on indifferent
Ferryman sails
Reflection of light in
Water, is all he
Sees
Ferry is a machine
Ferry lifts off, slowly ascends
Joyful
